Pensioner rates rebate
Ratepayers with a valid concession card are eligible for a $136 Council rebate on their rates for their principal place of residence.
Ratepayers are eligible for the rebate if they hold a:
- Pensioner Concession Card — issued by Centrelink or Department of Veterans’ Affairs
- Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card — War Widow (WW)
- Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card — Totally and Permanently Incapacitated (TPI).
In June 2012, Council increased its rebate from $130 to $136. The rebate is additional to the State Government rebate of $198.
People who receive unemployment benefits or holders of health care cards do not qualify for the rebate.
