
If you would like to pay your rates in full as 1 payment, you must do so by Monday 15 February 2010.
If you would like to pay your rates in quarterly instalments, you must do so by the following dates:
First instalment Wednesday 30 September 2009
Second instalment Monday 30 November 2009
Third instalment Monday 1 March 2010
Fourth instalment Monday 31 May 2010
Please note any payment received after the 30th of September will be treated as a part payment with the balance due by the 15th of February 2010.
If you would like to pay your rates in 10 monthly instalments, payments can only be made by direct debit from a nominated savings or cheque account. To choose this option, you must complete the application for direct debit form. Your rates will automatically be debited from your bank account on the 15th day of the month (or next business day). The first payment will be on 15 September 2009 and the final payment will be 15 June 2010. You must complete the application for direct debit form and return it to Council by 7 September 2009 to utilise this payment method.

Failure to pay will result in an interest penalty of 10% p.a. and possible legal action for rate recovery.
Pensioner Rebates
Holders of a Pensioner Concession Card, or a Gold Card issued by the Department of Veteran Affairs to
War Widows or Totally/Permanently Incapacitated Veterans are eligible for a $100 Council rebate on their rates for their principal place of residence. This rebate is additional to the State Government Pensioner rebate of $184.30. For more details, please contact Council’s Revenue Services Unit on 9205 5406.

If you’re experiencing difficulty paying your rates, please call Council’s Revenue Services Unit on 9205 5406 as soon as possible to discuss an alternative payment arrangement.
