Rates - How to pay

Rates are payable by instalments. There are four instalment dates in each annual cycle:
 

1. 1 October, 2007 2. 30 November, 2007 3. 29 February, 2008 4. 2 June, 2008

Payment Options

1. Yarra ePay
Pay online 24 hours a day, 7days a week.
Use your Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

• By Telephone - call 1300 792 772

2. Mail

• Detach payment slip and mail with payment in the envelope provided.
• Make cheques payable to: City of Yarra
• Receipts will not be issued

  
3. Post Office & Commonwealth Bank Branches

• Present rates notice intact at any Australia Post Office or CBA Branch
• Use cash, EFTPOS or cheque
• Make cheques payable to: City of Yarra

4. Commonwealth Bank & Post Billpay Phone and Internet payments

• Payments can be made using your American Express, Visa or Mastercard

b. Internet

• Payments can be made using your American Express, Visa, or Mastercard
• Internet Payments can be made at www.optussmartpay.com/yarra

5. Telephone Banking

• via BPAY (Debit Card)
• Contact your participating bank, credit union or building society
• Quote Biller Code: 171074
• Quote the BPAY reference number printed on the front of your rates notice (next to the BPAY logo)

6. Council Offices

• The office/cashiering hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday
• Council offices are located at:

Richmond Town Hall 333 Bridge Road Richmond

Late Payments

Failure to pay will result in an interest penalty of 12% p.a. and possible legal action for rate recovery
