The Disability Advisory Committee (DAC) was established in 1999 so that people living with disabilities in Yarra could influence the direction of Council in making life accessible for all people living with disability in Yarra.
Meetings are held at 4pm in the Collingwood Senior Citizens Centre on the first Tuesday of every month. The meetings are open to the public and the venue is accessible.
People can raise disability issues with community members of the DAC or by emailing the Disability Planning Officer at info@yarracity.vic.gov.au. Deaf people can contact the Disability Planning Officer through the TTY (telephone typewriter) number 9417 7524.
DAC hosts an annual Community Forum so that people with disabilities can have their say on issues that are affecting them.
