City of Yarra manages 4 Childcare Centres which are fully accredited facilities offering high quality childcare for children between the ages of 0-6 years on a part time and full time basis.

Yarra City Council has developed a Central Registration System, providing an easy and equitable way for families to register their children into Yarra’s Early Years Services, Including:

• Long Day Care
• Family Day Care
• 3 year old Activity Group
• 4 year old Sessional Kindergarten

Our mission

Programs, services and activities will be relevant to and reflect the needs and diversity of, all children, young people, individuals and families in Yarra. The Family and Children's Services Branch will achieve this through:

Objectives

• be flexible and responsive to the changing needs of the children and their families.
• foster non-discrimination, and create non-gender biased environments
• have fun

Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)

The role of the PAC is to work with the centre staff on aspects of the centre's operation, including:

• policy and philosophy development
• development and evaluation of programs for children
• participation in the Quality Improvement and Accreditation System
• fundraising

Dates and times of meetings are on noticeboards within the centres and an agenda is available prior to the meetings. All PAC meetings are open, so you are always welcome to attend.
