Designated Areas

The following parks and reserves are designated as Multizone areas containing both on and off-leash areas for dogs.

Council adopted a new Domestic Animal Management Plan, People and Their Pets, in February 2009.  New on and off-lead guidelines for dog owners will come into force on 1 May 2009 and full information will be available shortly.

Quarries Park Edinburgh Gardens
Quarries Park
Yambla Street, Clifton Hill
Border to run in alignment with shared pathway, with south side of pathway to be on-leash and north side of pathway to be off-leash.
Hall Reserve
The Esplanade, Clifton Hill
Border to run in alignment with shared pathway, with east side of pathway to be on-leash and remainder of park to be off-leash.

Edinburgh Gardens
Brunswick Street, Nth Fitzroy
Border to run north to south, with west-side to be on-leash area and east-side to be off-leash area.

 


Darling Gardens

Barkly Gardens

Darling Gardens
Nth Terrace, Clifton Hill
Border to run diagonally from Gold Street to North Terrace; with on-leash on south-east side and off-leash on north-west side.

Barkly Gardens
Coppin Street, Richmond
Border to run across from east to west in alignment with Rose Street with south half to be on-leash and north half to be off-leash.
