Yarra City Council has organised a week of exciting events to celebrate the official re-opening of the Fitzroy Town Hall to the public.
The celebrations commence on Sunday 18 March with a free community day at the Fitzroy Town Hall from 11am to 3pm.
Council will also hold on Tuesday night 20 March the first official Council meeting at the Fitzroy Town Hall since the early 1990s.
What’s On - Family Day, Sunday 18 March
The celebrations don’t stop there. Other activities on throughout the week include a daily lunchtime lectures series, heritage tours, and citizenship ceremony, bi-lingual story times, Carnevale lunch for 100 senior citizens, Harmony Day and Indigenous Day activities, a disability African drumming and dance workshop, a youth hip-hop event, Al Gore Climate Change Project presentations and the Beasts Banquet – an interactive dinner and drama performance.
