Have your say on an important community space
What : Community consultation on the urban square, corner of Bridge Road and Church Street , Richmond .
When : Saturday 16 December 2006 from 10.00am to 12.00noon.
Where: At the square, on the corner of Bridge Road and Church Street , Richmond .
Council is planning to revitalise the urban square at the corner of Bridge Road and Church Street , Richmond .
Council is seeking community input on this important space and will have various design proposals on display at the square on Saturday 16 December 2006.
Mayor of Yarra City Council, Cr Jackie Fristacky, said she invited all residents and businesses to come and view the design proposals and provide feedback to Council.
"The design proposals aim to refurbish the square with new materials, extra seating, artwork and trees," she said.
"Our plans are to renovate this site and to keep it as community space."
Councillors and Council officers will be on site on Saturday 16 December to discuss the concepts with the community, record feedback and answer any questions.
In addition to the consultation at the square, the design proposals will be on display on Council's website and at the Richmond Town Hall until the end of January 2007.
