
Yarra City Council is in the final stages of preparing for this year’s Celebrate Yarra festival.
The Mayor of Yarra City Council, Cr Jenny Farrar, said this year’s festival, which is on Sunday 18 February in Edinburgh Gardens, was shaping up to bigger and better than ever.
“Celebrate Yarra is an integral part of Council’s annual events program. It provides a forum for friends, neighbours and our community organisations to connect and share information,” she said.
“This festival always has great support from the community, local businesses and community organisations, and every year highlights the vibrancy, diversity and community spirit of Yarra.
“I encourage everyone to come along on day and enjoy being part of our active, supportive and wonderful community.
“I am pleased to announce that we have managed to secure some great acts and entertainment for the day including:
“We are also in the process of locking in some great kid’s activities, cultural food stalls, demonstrations, workshops, market stalls, and of course the very popular Paws in the Park dog competition,” she said.
“Final details about the festival will be made public in the coming weeks. I encourage everyone to mark Sunday 18 February in their diaries for a great family day out in Edinburgh Gardens.”
