VicRoads To Commence Road Safety Works along Burnley Street

VicRoads is due to commence works to improve safety along Burnley Street, between Bridge Road and Highett Street in Richmond on 15 March 2009.

Road improvement works will include installation of new traffic signals, a central median separating traffic and additional street lighting, changes to the traffic lane arrangements, improvements to the current bicycle lanes and pavement resurfacing.

Some speed restrictions and lane closures are expected during construction work to ensure the safety of workers and road users. Works are planned for completion in July 2009.
