2005/2006 Adopted Budget

At its meeting on 12 July 2005 the Yarra City Council resolved that its 2005/2006 Budget be adopted in accordance with section 127 of the Local Government Act 1989.

Some Budget highlights include:

A total Operating Expenditure Budget of $87.906 million.
A budgeted Operating Surplus of $6.144 million
$19.7 million of Capital Works Projects.
A reduction of borrowings of $2.7 million from $17.9 million to $15.2 million.
$1.3 million of new initiatives in response to community needs.
