Walking Groups

Do you want to get out there and walk more? Would you like to meet new people? Why don't you set up your own walking group? The City of Yarra's Sustainable Transport Officer can help you and support your group with promotions and ideas. Get a group of friends together and show each other the places that you like to walk.

Here are a few tips:

• Choose an area
  
• Choose a time and how often you want to walk with a small group
  
• Set a focus - physical activity/exercise, companionable chat, walk the dog, end up at a pub or coffee shop
  
• Decide on a contact system - email or mobile phone/SMS
  
• Make a simple flyer or notice

Historical Walk

The following Historical Societies run occasional guided walks. Please contact them for more details:

U3A

The University of the 3rd Age also runs occasional guided walks. They can be contacted between Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm on 9415 1769.
