A vision for a more sustainable transport future in Yarra

The Strategic Transport Statement presents a vision for the future of our vibrant and diverse city where residents, businesses, visitors and commuters are provided with a range of transport options. These options contribute towards maximising your ability to get around in Yarra without necessarily using a car.

The Statement provides a brief analysis of Yarra's current travel patterns and looks at where Yarra needs to be in the long-term to achieve a more sustainable transport system.

The Strategic Transport Statement was adopted by Council on 18 April 2006 and will be the basis for Council’s transport related decision-making and budget allocation.
