Cycling

ride to school day
"The City of Yarra is proud to be supporting Ride to School Day 2007 on Wednesday 28 March, offering $1500 worth of extra incentives for local schools to get involved!

Cycling is an economical and environmentally-friendly form of transport suitable for all age groups. It is a great way to get around, explore your neighbourhood, visit friends and to maintain mobility. On a bicycle you can go anywhere - and you don't have to worry about parking!

The City of Yarra has the highest level of cycling in any municipality in Victoria. With the plethora of bike lanes and shared paths in Yarra it is very popular.

If you are a bit more experienced, why not begin training for Around the Bay in a Day or The Great Victorian Bike Ride.
