Lennox Place Works

Yarra City Council has recently undertaken works in Lennox Street Richmond, between Victoria and Butler Streets, as part of its innovative improvement and civic pride plan.

The plan has created a pedestrian priority shared zone, the first in an activity centre in the City of Yarra.  This short section of Lennox Street was repaved with bluestone to prioritise pedestrians and cyclists.  Speed limits for all vehicles have been reduced to 10km/hour.  Other works included footpath and kerb upgrades, extending pedestrian areas, new street furniture, additional street trees, lighting and urban art.
