
Amendment C99 to the Yarra Planning Scheme proposes to rezone land within an area known as the Doonside Precinct, which lies immediately south of the Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre to the east of Burnley Street, Richmond.
The location of the affected properties is shown in the Amendment documentation (Explanatory Report).
The Amendment proposes to make the following changes to the Yarra Planning Scheme in relation to the affected properties:
Council considered the recommendations of the panel report and resolved to adopt the amendment on 18 August 2009. The amendment is now awaiting approval from the Minister for Planning.
Earlier this year, an independent Planning Panel hearing was held on the following dates: Tuesday 21 April, and Wednesday 22 April at Fitzroy Town Hall, Napier Street, Fitzroy.
