Why your workplace should get involved

Yarra is arguably Victoria’s cycling capital with 57km of on-road bike lanes, 32km shared off-road paths, and 8.5% of residents riding to work. Chances are that there is already a strong cycling culture in your workplace and this is something to celebrate on National Ride2Work Day.

But it’s also a day to encourage new riders to have a go. We know that around 30% of new riders are still riding at least once a week six months later.

There are many benefits to encouraging cycling in your workplace, including increased morale and productivity, improved staff health and wellbeing, reduced absenteeism, increased sustainability and reduced pressure on parking.
