Road improvements in Princes Hill
In January and February 2012, Council undertook a road resurfacing project in Pigdon Street, between Bowen Crescent and Lygon Street.
As part of the project, Council resurfaced the western end of Pigdon Street and painted new bicycle lanes to provide a metre-wide lane for cyclists.
There is also a metre-wide buffer zone between cyclists and parked cars, providing some protection for cyclists when car doors are being opened.
The project cost $280,000 and was funded by the Federal Government.
