Storytimes

Pre-School Storytime

Come and share the wonder of books with us. Enjoy 45 minutes of stories, songs, rhymes and activities with your two to five yearolds.

Storytime sessions are conducted throughout the year, except for school holidays.
Listening to stories and songs helps to develop children's language and motor skills.
Storytime introduces children to a wide range of books, encourages a life-long love of reading and libraries, and gives your child the opportunity to mix with other children.

Our experienced and enthusiastic library staff offer these sessions at the following libraries.

Carlton - Monday 2:00pm, Thursday 11:00am
Collingwood - Friday 11:00am
Fitzroy - Monday 11:00am
North Fitzroy - Tuesday 11:00am
Richmond - Wednesday 11:00am

Storytime will commence in all Yarra Library branches in the week beginning Monday 4th of February 2008. Storytimes will not be held during school holidays.

Toddler Time

Encourage your child to have a life-long love of books! For children aged between 8 - 24 months.

Mondays 2.00pm - Fitzroy Library 128 Moor Street Fitzroy
Tuesdays 10.30am - Carlton Library 667 Rathdowne Street North Carlton
Wednesdays 10.00am – Richmond Library 415 Church Street Richmond (enter via Charlotte Street)
Starting March 6 Thursday 10.30am - Collingwood 11 Stanton St, Abbotsford Vic 1300 695 427.

Special Event Storytimes

Held throughout the year. Themes include Halloween, Christmas and Australiana.

In addition to this, the following children's services are offered to schools and child care centres:

Children's Book Week Activities
Bilingual story times
