Become a member

Collingwood LibraryMembership is FREE and open to all members of the Victorian public. No matter where you live, work or study in Victoria - you can join at any Yarra library branch. If you are under 18, we require a parent or guardian to come with you on your first visit to the library.

To become a member, you will need to fill out a membership form at any of the Yarra library branches. Adults must show proof of current address and agree to abide by the policies of Yarra Libraries. You will be required to present some form of identification showing your name and current address, such as a driver's licence, pension card or utilities bill. You will then be able to borrow immediately.

Identification

Acceptable forms of identification include:

  • Drivers licence or learners permit
  • Other forms of official licence
  • Keypass
  • Concession card
  • Student card with address on it
  • Health care card
  • Official rent/lease agreement
  • Electricity/water/gas/phone bills
  • Official communications from any bank or financial institution
  • Official communications from police/courts of law.

Young people under the age of 18 need a parent or guardian's signature on the following permission form:

The parent or guardian will be required to show proof of current address.

Getting a PIN number

A PIN is a four digit number that provides an extra level of security when using your library card. You are able to change your PIN at any time once you log into your account via the catalogue. If you cannot remember your PIN, please contact the library by phoning us 1300 695 427 or emailing us at yarralibraries@yarracity.vic.gov.au
