Mayors Park Master Plan

The Mayors Park Master Plan was developed in 2003 the purpose of which is to establish a framework for the park to guide future improvements. Extensive community consultation was undertaken as part of the Master Planning process. Specific recommendations of the Master Plan include:

• Improved pedestrian access
• An additional tennis court
• An additional multi-purpose court
• Resurfacing of an existing tennis court to a multi-purpose court
• A basketball half court
• Relocation of the existing fence line adjacent to the central pathway
• An informal seating skateable area
• New and improved park furniture, including BBQ’s, seats, bins, drinking fountains and security lights
• Relocation of the existing playground
• Improved landscaping including the introduction of three new established Palm trees to re-enforce the existing avenue.
