Sustainable Gardening

The way we garden makes a big difference to the health of our local environment. Through taking a range of measures it is possible to conserve water, reduce pollution of our waterways, reduce greenhouse gases and create wildlife habitat whilst having a beautiful and productive garden.

Make your garden water wise

The continuing dry weather and high level water restrictions means our gardens aren’t getting as much water as they once did. To find out ways to make your garden more water efficient and help keep your vegies and plants alive, visit:

Composting and Worm farms

Residents and local business can purchase worm farms and compost bins from Council at a wholesale price and with the option of a home delivery service. See Council's Worm farms page for more information.
