Linear Park
The Inner Circle Railway Linear Park is set upon former railway parkland which extends from Bowen Crescent, North Carlton through to Alfred Crescent and Thomas Kidney Reserve, North Fitzroy.
A Conservation Management Plan has been prepared to guide the management of Linear Park. The purpose of the Conservation Management Plan is to ensure the park's future as a highly valued community resource is protected and enhanced.
Reserves part of the Inner Circle Railway Linear Park include:
- Hardy Gallagher Reserve -- Bowen Crescent, North Carlton
- Janet Millman Reserve -- Park Street, North Fitzroy
- Thomas Kidney Reserve -- Rushall Crescent, North Fitzroy
Landscaping and path works in April and May 2012
The pedestrian and cyclist path between Nicholson and Lygon streets will be closed for works for up to eight weeks from early April while the path is upgraded.

Meanwhile, landscaping works will begin in April to improve access between Linear Park and Holden Byrne Reserve.
Trees and shrubs will also be removed to create new grassy areas that will open the park up visually and improve the connection with Holden Byrne Reserve.
New trees and native vegetation will be planted to offset the tree and shrub removals.

These works are expected to take two weeks to complete and form part of the implementation of the 2006 Linear Park Masterplan. Linear Park Masterplan 2006 (2.41 MB)
Path access for pedestrians and cyclists will not be interrupted.
