Council is committed to protecting and managing the local environment for the community today and for future generations. Yarra Council is guided by six important policy documents; each addressing different areas of environmental sustainability including water, air quality, waste reduction, greenhouse and sustainable transport.
Council believes it is essential for everyone to work together to reduce our environmental impact and to achieve more sustainable outcomes. We need to look at how we live, how we work, what we want to change and what we want to retain.
