Governance

The City of Yarra has an operating budget of over $100 million and is responsible for managing $935 million worth of community assets. Last financial year Council provided $2.6 million in community grants and more than $11 million in community services to a local population of just over 73,500.

Council's Governance Unit ensures the organisation carries out all of its responsibilities inline with laws, legislation, regulations and the Local Government Act.
