Draft Local Area Plan – Gipps Precinct
Council is seeking feedback from business owners, residents and other members of the Gipps precinct about a draft Local Area Plan. 
The draft Plan is aimed at encouraging significant business and industrial redevelopment in the precinct and expanding local employment opportunities.
Among its recommendations, the draft Plan proposes that the precinct be rezoned from Industrial 1 to Business 3 to facilitate a shift towards office and commercial uses.
Any submissions about the plan must be received by Council by Tuesday 8 December 2009.
