Disability Action Plan 2010-2013

Yarra City Council is seeking community feedback to develop a new four year Disability Action Plan 2010-2013.

The purpose of the plan is to guide Council’s actions to increase access and inclusion in Yarra with a focus on assisting people with disabilities to be more involved in the economic, social and cultural life of our City.

Council is consulting with community groups who represent people with disabilities of different ages, genders and cultural backgrounds.

We also invite people who live, work or study in Yarra to contribute their ideas.

Our community can provide their comments by completing an online survey. The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Comments can also be forwarded to Council’s Disability Access and Inclusion Planning Officer Marta Rokicki, c/o Yarra City Council, PO Box 168, Richmond 3121 or by email to marta.rokicki@yarracity.vic.gov.au.

The closing date for comments is Friday 27 November.

Council is expected to consider a draft version of the Disability Action Plan 2010-2013 at its meeting in February 2010.
