The Carlton Neighbourhood Learning Centre has provided services for the local community since 1973. The Centre aims to promote social justice principles in a practical way through offering learning opportunities and creating a sense of community.

- Monday-Friday: 9.15am-4.15pm
Activities and services
The Carlton Neighbourhood Learning Centre offers a variety of activities and services. These include:
- ESL classes, including Language, Literacy and Numeracy program (LLNP) and Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP)
- Literacy and numeracy programs
- Computer classes
- One on one volunteer tutor program
- Community information and referral services
- Pilates classes
- Painting and drawing classes
- Women's singing group
- Elderly person's morning tea
- Writing workshops
- Horn of Africa's women's groups including Eritrean, Harari and Horn of Africa general
- Horn of Africa men's education, employment and training group
- Community arts programs
- Volunteering opportunities
- Weekly community lunches
- Fun with music group
- Australian fiction book group
- Community groups including GROW, Children's Drawing Time and Kadampa Meditation Centre
The Centre is also available for hire at reasonable rates.
