Rathdowne Street, Carlton

Rathdowne Street in Carlton North is a delightful shopping area that the locals prefer to keep a secret. From attractive tree lined streets, heritage buildings with bullnosed verandahs, Rathdowne Street has that quaint European feel that is perfect for afternoon or evening sitting, watching, eating and drinking. This strip is just the place to be to meet friends or gather for family celebrations.

All seasons have their beauty here, particularly in autumn when the trees glow with coloured leaves and the evening haze settles in early.
