Community Profile

Using the Australian Bureau of Statistics Census of Population Housing data, the Community Profile helps us to understand the population and household characteristics of Yarra, how these are changing and how Yarra and its neighbourhoods compare to other areas local governments, Greater Melbourne and Victoria. Data is communicated through charts, tables and helpful commentary, all of which can be easily downloaded.

Population Forecasts

Population forecasts give an estimate of how Yarra might look in the future, based on the current population and housing patterns and planned construction. The information can be useful in planning of services, businesses or general interest.

Economic Profile

The Economic Profile provides an interactive profile of the Yarra economy. This easy to use site presents an overview of workforce characteristics, industry contributions, the role of tourism and trends in the local economy. Data is displayed through graphs, tables and interactive maps accompanied by accessible explanations and commentary.
