Councillors

Yarra is represented by nine Councillors, the majority of whom were  elected in November 2008 to serve the local community for the following four years.

The next Council elections will be held on Saturday 27 October 2012.

Mayor

Cr Geoff Barbour was elected Mayor by his fellow Yarra Councillors on 15 December 2011.
Cr Barbour will serve as the City's leader until October 2012 when statewide Council Elections will be held.

Who are your Councillors?

Yarra is divided into three geographic wards – Langridge, Melba and Nicholls – and each ward is represented by three Councillors. 

Langridge Ward
Abbotsford, Alphington (south of Heidelberg Road), Clifton Hill (east of Wellington Street), Collingwood (except for the area bounded by Johnston, Wellington & Smith Sts and Alexandra Parade), Fairfield (south of Heidelberg Road) and Fitzroy (south of Johnston Street).
