Am I eligible for the services?

The Home and Community Care (HACC) Guidelines established by the State Government provide the eligibility criteria for HACC services.

In summary, the following people are eligible for HACC services:

Also, you must live in the City of Yarra to receive Yarra’s HACC services.

Services are provided on the basis of eligibility as well as assessed and prioritised need.

This means that although you may fall into one of the above categories and meet the eligibility criteria, in some instances you may not automatically receive services.

Council has a Priority of Access Policy, which ensures that people most in need of assistance will receive it. Some people have higher and more complex needs and may be assessed as a higher priority for services.
